1998 Track Chart | | The Wisconsin Central was formed in 1987 from cast off Soo Railroad lines in Wisconsin and Michigan. Once it had a few operating years under its belt it started to acquire more trackage including the Fox River Valley Railroad and the Green Bay and Western. In 1997 WC subsidiary Sault St. Marie Bridge Company purchased some former Union Pacific trackage in northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan bringing Ishpeming into the WC family of lines. This 1998 track chart includes that new WC line. The Wisconsin Central was a huge railroad success story in the 80s and 90s before being sold off to Canadian National in 2001. |  | This 1998 chart includes all WC Transportation subsidiaries: Algoma Central Railway, Sault Ste. This is a photocopy of an original Wisconsin Central Ltd. Track Chart. 327 pages, the WC's page numbering system is a bit odd - which leaves out pages when the end of the line is reached. So, the pages of this track chart are numbered to 422, but with large holes in the page numbering. This is the full track chart. Updated to 1998. 8.5 x 14 inches (legal size), in a report cover, with a label on the cover. Includes an index and list of line segments.
A track chart shows every mile of track including curvature, signals, tunnels, grade (profile), speed, rail type, and maintenance. This is a very detailed track chart. Great for railfans or modelers - and many are using these to make Trainz or MSTS train sims.
