Inspection Trip track chart/data book | This book was put together for an inspection trip over a portion of the Mohawk-Hudson Division. Though this book does not mention the reason, many inspection trips/trains were put together for the benefit of railroad officials/directors.
The track chart also calls out lineside industry and then facing pages show the car loadings for 1983 (in and out) for each industry. Data for the entire division is also shown as is a history of the line. Very interesting information, for instance: St. Joe Minerals on the Balmat Industrial line, had 7 cars delievered and 1,295 cars picked up in 1983 - representing 1.7 million dollar in revenue for the railroad. | | This is a photocopy of an original Conrail Mohawk-Hudson Division Inspection/Track Chart Book. A track chart shows every mile of track including curvature, signals, tunnels, grade (profile), speed, rail type, and maintenance. This is a very detailed track chart. Great for railfans or modelers - and many are using these to make Trainz or MSTS train sims.
