Bismarck to Billings (Huntley) and branches - Circa 1985 | | The Yellowstone Division is former Northern Pacific trackage; this track chart covers the main line from Bismarck to Huntley (almost to Billings) via Glendive. Also covered are branches off the main - see a list of track segments below. The track chart shows no date, but the last date entered for any track work is 1984 so I believe this track chart to be circa 1985. The scan above shows a typical track chart page, the scan below shows the cover of this track chart. | This is an original Burlington Northern Condensed Profile / Track Chart for the Billings Region, Yellowstone Division. Pages are 12 x 5.5 inches. Circa 1985. 290 pages. The cover, see scan below, is pretty beat up - but it protected the pages inside which was its primary job. The cover is intact, but stained and has seen some water at one time. The first tab section also is wavy from water and the first couple of pages have some very minor issues - everything is completely readable. The book is bound by screw posts.
The pages are in excellent condition, other than as noted above, with the tab dividers showing some use. This was used in the field. The 14 subdivisions are tabbed making it very easy to access different parts of the track chart.
