Some rare diagrams from a story book railroad. This book of diagrams was assigned to J.A. Grigware, Superintendant for the PM in Grand Rapids. It is updated to 1936. Included in the 95 pages are an index, a clearance diagram (with outdated clearance diagram also included), and a listing of, and disposition of, retired locomotives from 1933 to 1936 (For instance: Locomotive 481 was sold to the Manistee and Northeastern in June of 1933). And, of course, included are 42 pages of diagrams.
This is a photocopy of an original Pere Marquette Locomotive Diagram Book. There are 42 diagrams, opposite each diagram page (a scan of one diagram page is below) is a page of statistics for each locotmoive. The index is cross referenced by class and number. The diagrams are very clear. Build dates for the steam locomotives covered range from 1903 to 1930. The Pere Marquette had 282 active locomotives in 1936. This reprint is on 8.5 by 11 inch paper, placed in a report cover.
