Updated to 1949. There are 58 pages here. Not all pages are sequential, a few pages were pulled, as happens with periodic updates. In fact a photocopy of the original update letter that came with this book is included. There are 13 index pages which show which diagrams are included in the book. The diagrams are 8.5 x 11 inches - except 5 F-unit diagrams. They are on 11 x 17 pages which fold out of the book.
The originals were true blueprint white-line diagrams. It is the nature of blueprints, especially older blueprints, that they fade, causing some to be harder to read - and that is true of some of these photocopies. Photocopies are only as good as the originals. The original blueprints have been printed black-line making them as easy to read as possible. Even the pages that have some readability issues are included for historical completeness.
Manufacturers represented are GE, EMC, EMD, Baldwin, ALCo, St. Louis Car Company, Standard Steel Car Company, Fairmont and Ford. From Switchers to F-units to doodlebugs to inspection cars - this is an interesting look at non-steam power on the NP in 1949.
Railfans and rail historians can find a wealth of information here. Trainz and MSTS users, as well as model railroaders, can use these diagrams to make more accurate models of a favorite prototype.
