Signal Department Diagram Book on CD
Everything the Signal Department would need. Updated to 1963
|Diagrams, charts, part lists and instructions for the NYC Signal Department. All of the diagrams are marked Signal Department or, for the older diagrams, Signal and Train Control Committee. Diagrams are dated in the 30s, 40's, 50s and 60s. The latest date is 1963. Besides diagrams, the book includes many pages of "instruction" for various aspects of signal control. Due to the large number of pages this is offered as a PDF file on a CD-ROM. The cost to print these diagrams would be prohibitive, and as a PDF file you can zoom into any area of the diagram. |
|This is a PDF of an original New York Central Signal Department Diagram Book. Updated to 1963. Pages are 8.5 x 11 inches and can be easily printed. There are 330 pages. The original was in rough condition. Some page corners are missing. In almost every case, the information on the page is not obscured or damaged. There is no index. Diagrams are too numerous to mention, but here are a few: Overlay Track Circuit Instruction, Color Light Type Instructions, Track Circuit Tables, Graphical Symbols, Crossing Signals, Terminal Blocks, Switch Layout, Inductor Layout, Dummy Inductor, Pole Line Structure, Signal Platforms, Typical Circuits... and much more. See the five scans, above and below, for an idea of the contents of this CD.|
