Collinwood, Ashtabula Harbor, Akron, Lima, Erie, more | Conrail's Zone Track Spot books show, graphically, the trackage and surroundings for every industry on the line. Each Conrail division is divided into ZTS volumes. It takes between 1 and 6 volumes to cover a division. Earlier and smaller divisions took one or two books, while later and larger divisions took between 4 and 5 books to cover a division. Besides the close-up Track maps and (as seen in the scans to the right and left) every track and customer/industry Spot is named and every Zone has an overview map. Many ZTS volumes have fold out maps of major yards.
This is a photocopy of an original Conrail ZTS Book. It is 3-hole punched and placed in a report cover with a label. The map showing what zones are coeverd in this book is above, an example of one the detail (Track, Spot) pages is below. | | The Pittsburgh Division has 3 volumes, this is Volume 3, updated to 1995. Volume 3 covers the Cleveland, Collinwood, Rockport, Motor Yard, Berea, Alliance, Dunkrik, Ashtabula, Akron, and Lima areas. It includes wonderful fold out maps for Collinwood Yard, Brook Park Yard and Ashtabula Harbor as well as larger maps of the Brook Park Ford Plant and Parma Yard.
Railfans and rail historians can find a wealth of information here. Trainz and MSTS users, as well as model railroaders, can use these maps to make more accurate models of a favorite prototype.
