Conrail ZTS Manual - Make your own ZTS maps!
Three chapters, forms, examples, instructions
How to make and update a ZTS map
Conrail's Zone Track Spot books show, graphically, the trackage and surroundings for every industry on the line. Each Conrail division is divided into ZTS volumes. It takes up to 6 volumes to cover a division. The maps are very detailed and must be kept up-to-date.
This official presentation (22 b/w and color pages) shows the process, symbols, forms needed to make and update ZTS maps. The detailed instructions are accompanied by examples. This presentation was made by the Stations Department of Quality Control to managers and others in the Harrisburg Division - but is not at all limited to that division.
This is a photocopy of a Conrail Manual/Presentation on the ZTS system.
Trainz and MSTS users, as well as model railroaders and railfans, can use ZTS Maps to make more accurate models of a favorite prototype or to facilitate model operations.
