Binghamton, Ithaca, Port Jervis, Elmira and more | Conrail's Zone Track Spot books show, graphically, the trackage and surroundings for every industry on the line. Each Conrail division is divided into ZTS volumes. It takes between 1 and 6 volumes to cover a division. Earlier and smaller divisions took one or two books, while later and larger divisions took between 4 and 5 books to cover a division. Besides the close-up Track maps and (as seen in the scans to the right and left) every track and customer/industry Spot is named and every Zone has an overview map. Many ZTS volumes have fold out maps of major yards.

The map showing what zones are covered in this book is scanned above; an example of a detail (Track, Spot) page is below. | | The Albany Division has 4 volumes, this is Volume 3. Updated to 1997. Volume 3 changed a lot over the years, with Zone 95 (Himrod Junction) being sold to the Finger Lakes Railway in 1995 and the addition of Albany Zones 69 and 97. This issue of Albany ZTS Volume 3 covers 7 zones: 69) Olean 91) Elmira 92) Binghamton 93) Campbell Hall 94) Corning 97) Salamanca and 98) Ithaca. This photocopy does not include any fold out maps and the following towns (4 zone detail maps) have been hand-updated: Port Allegany, Larabee, Keating Summit, Emporium, Eldred, and Driftwood - that portion of the line that runs from Eldred to Driftwood.
Railfans and rail historians can find a wealth of information here. Trainz and MSTS users, as well as model railroaders, can use these maps to make more accurate models of a favorite prototype.
