| | Missouri Pacific Track Chart Hastings Sub Branch 1945 | | Kansas Division, Hastings Sub - 18 8-inch panels - 12 feet long | | | | | MoPac Hastings Subdivision Hastings Junction (near Yuma) to Hastings | The Hastings sub is a branch line from near Yuma, Kansas to Hastings - all abandoned trackage now. During World War 2 this was an important branch as it served a large munitions depot. I believe this track chart was printed circa 1970, but the latest update that I can find is 1945. The end of the line was Hastings, the MoPac used some former CNW trackage in Hastings.
This is a nice track chart showing grade, signals, street names, depot locations, adjacent railroads and much more. | This is an original Missouri Pacific Hastings Subdivision Condensed Profile / Track Chart. Pages are 8 by 4.5 inches and are folded accordion style. There are 18 panels for a total of 12 feet of track chart. There is no binding and there is no cover. Pages are blue-line blueprint style. All pages are legible, some have more blueprint 'artifacts' than others.
A track chart shows every mile of track and can include signals, sidings, degree of curvature, grade, tunnels, maintenance information and more. A typical track chart page is scanned above. Many folks are using these to create Trainz or Microsoft Train Simulator routes.
