Build dates are from 1926 to 1953. Builders include ALCo, EMD, Baldwin, GE and Lima Hamilton. | This is a photocopy of an original Erie Railroad Diesel Locomotive Diagram Book. Updated to 1953. The inside cover page shows issued and updated to 1951, but a couple of pages are dated 1952 and 1953. There are 74 pages, 1 index page and 47 diagrams. Many locomotive types have a diagram and a separate page with additional information. These diagrams are large and are printed on 11x17 paper. This is from the era when the new diesel road units were seen as one locomotive with four units - and so the ALCo FA diagram shows 4 units (2 "A" units and 2 "B" units). The original pages were all blueprints and so this copy does have some typical blueprint characteristics with some areas lighter than others, though all pages are legible. The blueprints have been printed as negatives so the information is presented as black on white pages - making things much easier to read.
