This is the real deal: It comes from the estate of a former New York Central / Penn Central / Conrail railroad policeman. CL Hoffman was a longtime railroad police officer and kept quite a bit from his career - including pre-signed parking warning notices he handed out when he was a Lieutenant for the NYC railroad police.
Included with this item - as proof of the vintage nature of this railroad police shoulder patch - is one of these old parking warning tickets signed by Lt. Hoffman. You will get the exact patch and exact ticket you see in the picture at right.
