Conrail 1980 Lehigh Division
In 1980 Conrail was just four years old and a lot of track that would later be abandoned was still in use. Conrail had yet to settle on a standard track chart format of its own and in many cases was using old PRR, NYC or other bankrupt railroad track charts. This old Lehigh Division track chart is a mish-mash of former road track charts. The maintenance information has been stripped out (rail grinding schedule, ballast work, etc) leaving the actual track chart. This allows for the track chart to be blown up to fit the page and be as readable as possible. Some of the older track charts that make up this Conrail track chart can be difficult to read.
Lines covered include part or all of these lines: Hoboken, Morristown, Jersey City and Sayre Lines. There are two pages on branches, secondaries and spur lines that are covered.
This is a photocopy of an original Conrail's Lehigh Division 1980 Track Chart. This is an 8.5 x 11 photocopy. Hole-punched and placed in a report cover with a label on the front.
A track chart shows every mile of track and can include signals, sidings, degree of curvature, grade, tunnels, maintenance information and more. A typical track chart page is scanned above, the division map page is below. The lines in BOLD are included in this track chart. Many folks are using these to create Trainz or Microsoft Train Simulator routes.
RailfanDepot carries a collection of railroad paper both new and collectible.
