| This is a rare 1950s look at the Clinchfield which tackled the Appalachians with first class track work and first class men and machines. This track chart shows each mile of the Clinchfield Railroad, along with bridges, signals, tunnels, curvature, elevation, grade and more.This is the Clinchfield from Elkhorn City to Spartanburg, all 277 mainline miles, plus the Fremont Branch and Nora Spur.
Originally drawn in 1950 and updated to 1953. Four miles to a page, 82 total pages. The original was a blue-line blueprint type track chart and like any blueprint some pages were more faded than others - and the photocopy reflects that too. There are a few pages where the smallest information is faded and hard to read. Most pages are clear and easy to read. | This is a photocopy of an original Clinchfield Railroad Condesned Profile. This track chart is blown up by 20% and printed on legal size, 14 by 8.5 inch, paper. 82 pages. Hole-punched, in a report cover with a label on the front.
