This new 3rd edition has also been expanded with new enlargements to show complex areas in greater detail and includes for the first time interurban electric lines, light rail and principal logging railroads. |

The new two-color printing has increased the price a bit, but has increased the readability by a lot! Drawn at eight miles to one inch, with two miles to one inch for complex/close-up areas, this atlas has the detail! The Steam Powered Video series is designed to provide a single source of reference to the North American rail network, past and present.
The maps in the book are printed very clearly on nice glossy paper. The index is extensive: Look up towns, railroad yards, major industries and stations. If it is on a map, it is in the index!
