| This is a photocopy of an original C&EI Freight Car Diagram Book. 8.5x11 pages, three-hole punched in a report cover. 42 pages, there is no index. Each diagram includes notes like how many of that car are in service. Most diagrams are very clear and legible, a couple are light, as were the original black line diagrams, but are included for historical accuracy. The cover page is scanned above, below are two diagram pages.
Diagrams include: 100-ton wrecker crane, 120-ton wrecker crane, caboose (all steel, 10 diagrams, including head end caboose), notes, but no diagrams on leased Mather Company cars, box cars, rack cars (rebuilt at Oaklawn), notes but no diagrams on MOW cars for tie handling, automobile cars, flat cars, clay loading gons, covered hopper cars, drop end gondola, side dump cars, gondolas and hopper cars.
Railfans and rail historians can find a wealth of information here. Trainz and MSTS users, as well as model railroaders, can use railroad diagram books to make more accurate models of a favorite prototype.
