This is BNSF's Sand Hills Subdivision of the Powder River Division. The sub runs east from Alliance, Nebraska.
In March 2004, we follow the Sand Hills line from east Alliance to near Thedford - through the scenic, and name-sake, sand hills. You'll see lots of SD70MACs on coal trains, plus new AC44 and dash 9 locomotives. You'll see a couple of different BNSF paint schemes, including vintage logos and paint schemes. |
